An overview of CiviMail and and it's menu

CiviMail is one of the core coponents of Civi. You can find it along the main navigation menu at the top of the screen.

New Mailing

Lets us create a new bulk mailing. Find out more here.

Draft and Unscheduled Mailings

See a list of saved incomplete or draft mailouts. Find out more here.

Scheduled and sent mail

See mailouts that have, or are going to be sent. You can find out about Mail status and other information. find out more here.

Archived Mailings

General not needed. Over time you may have some bulk mailouts you want to archive and review at later date.

Mailing Reports

Over time this should fill with information about your mailouts. A Guide is under construction, check back soon!

Headers, Footers and Automated Messages

In here you can edit or create the default header and footers for your mailouts as well as other reusable components and automated messaged. For example, a "welcome" message for new members if you have online signups. You can find out more here.

Message Templates

Here you can edit or configure templates for your emails. This area focuses on basic settings of the templates. The fancy graphical design of new templates is a bit further down the menu. Find out about configuring templates here.

From Email Addresses

Generall things should only be changed in here by people who have spoken to the ICT program. Different sites might have different settings in here. If your site is configured to email for your domain you can add emails here. If in doubt contact the ict team. [get link]

New SMS & Find Mass SMS

Not being used at this time. Should your service wish to set it up, contact the ICT team.

New A/B Test & Manage A/B Tests

Generally, you should never need to do this testing. Contact the ICT team if you wish to.

Message Template Builder

In here you can design new, or edit existing, html templates. The builder is drag-and-drop and similar to the MailChimp template builder. Find out more here.
